That's right! Our games are making the long trek across the Seven Seas at this very moment. We are still on track for an early November release! We'll keep you posted as we hear more.

Sommify Patio Party

The Sommify Patio Party, AKA "The Most Sophisticated Power Hour of All Time," did not disappoint. We congregated around 4 tables at Vinoteca in Inman Park whilst owner Katie Rice served up playable wines! Tons of fun. Each table had a winner, which presented a dilemma: Who was the Somm-iest of Somms that night? Nothing a good ol' fashioned Somm-Off couldn't fix! The winner of the entire night was... drumroll please...

Big Ups to Megan Libby for calling Nebbiolo and winning the entire night!

Stay tuned, there may be another Patio Party in the not-so-distant future.

"One Things"

We've asked some Sommelier friends an interesting question: What's the "One Thing" you look for when deciding what grape to blind call? As in, what's the One Thing that identifies each particular grape, as they interpret it. Master Sommelier Thomas Price answered this question for Pinot Noir, below:

Below is the list of all playable wines on the Sommify board. Grab a bottle from this list and remember to keep it secret and concealed! The wines below show up on many Sommelier and wine exams.

Wines are listed in the following format:

Grape - Country

For example, Albariño is the grape and Spain is the only country allowed for the game for that particular grape. Some grapes can come from multiple countries, e.g. Chenin Blanc, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, etc.
If you have any questions, ask a local wine shop for a suggestion, they would be more than happy to help!
